Welcome to Rhythmic Movement Training in the UK

Rhythmic Movement Training UK is an affiliate of Rhythmic Movement Training International (RMTi). www.rhythmicmovement.org The programme and movements were developed by Dr Harald Blomberg in the early 90’s.

The movements are based the work of Kerstin Linde who was an an experienced and accomplished photographer and movement therapist. Her close scrutiny of infants, children and adults inspired the rhythmical element of the movements. Dr Blomberg also learned techniques from a Russian psychologist, Dr Svetlana Masgutova, and from Peter Blythe from the INPP.

Moira Dempsey met Dr Blomberg in Poland at a camp for children with Special Needs in 2003. Moira is a teacher and Kinesiologist who used Kinesiology to overcome many emotional and learning challenges. She first heard of primitive reflexes from Claire Hocking in 1997 and invited Dr Blomberg to come to Singapore to teach his work. Moira has done a lot of work further developing the programme.

Consultants and Instructors in the UK have been trained to the highest level so that they can provide their clients, of all ages and abilities, with the most beneficial and safe techniques to help natural and effective integration of the physical senses we all use in everyday life.

RMT has much to offer in neurological development, helping to make life changing improvements. One of the primary benefits of RMT is integration of infant reflex patterns, development of the Cerebellum and whole brain maturity.

The programme gives us a second opportunity to revisit the infant years and integrate any reflexes naturally that may not have played their role sufficiently in our development and become inhibited.

Rhythmic Movement Training is a drug free approach to help physical, emotional, behavioural and cognitive challenges.

Who can benefit from RMT?

Anyone who would like to improve any skill or area of their life. Anyone struggling, not performing or achieving their highest potential in education, business, sport or the performing arts. Babies, children or adults with neurological challenges, developmental delays and the wide range of learning difficulties.
